A call recorder captures a conversation and turns it into a transcript with AI notes. How to Record a Call
- Pick how the call is happening: record from the browser tab and microphone for a call running on your computer, send the meeting bot into a Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams link, or open the mobile app and put a phone call on speaker.
- Record: let it run for the length of the call. If you already have a recording from your phone’s call recorder or another app, upload that instead.
- Read the transcript: transcription and AI notes are ready a few minutes after you stop. Search the transcript, jump to a timestamp, or ask a question about the call.

How do I record a call in my browser?
Open the recorder, grant microphone and tab-audio access, and start recording while the call is running in another browser tab. Stop when the call ends and the transcript and AI notes generate automatically.
Can it record an actual phone call, or only calls made through the browser?
ScreenApp does not connect to a phone dialer or tap a call directly off the line. For a phone call, put it on speaker and record it with the mobile app’s microphone, or upload a recording you already made with your phone’s own call recorder or another app.
Can I record Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet calls?
Yes. Send the meeting bot into the call link and it meeting bot for Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. You can also record the call from your browser tab if you would rather not add a bot.
Does this work on mobile phones?
Yes, ScreenApp has iOS and Android apps. Put a phone call on speaker and record with the app’s microphone, or open the app to upload a recording made elsewhere.
Is call recording legal?
Legality varies by jurisdiction. Many regions require consent from all parties before recording. Always tell the other participants and check the recording laws where you and they are located.
Are my call recordings private?
Yes. Recordings are encrypted with AES-256 and are not used to train AI models. A recording is only shared if you create a share link. ScreenApp’s security controls are published on its trust center.
