Recording and Transcription

Record your screen on Windows

Capture a Windows screen, window or browser tab with ScreenApp.

  1. Open ScreenApp in a supported browser.
  2. Start a recording and choose the capture mode.
  3. Select a microphone or camera if needed.
  4. Use the browser sharing dialog to select the screen, window or tab.
  5. Select an available audio-sharing option if you need computer sound.
  6. Confirm sharing and check that capture has started.
  7. Stop from the recorder controls and wait for the recording to save.

Choose the right source

A screen capture can include notifications and other windows. A tab capture keeps the picture focused on that tab. Available audio options differ by browser and capture source; see browser audio.

If capture fails

Check recording permissions and make a short test before a long session. For missing sound, use audio troubleshooting.

Transcript exports work on every plan, but downloading the video file needs a paid plan; see download access. Saving to your library and downloading a copy are separate operations.
