Cut or Trim an Audio File Online, Get the Result as WAV
The online audio cutter trims or cuts a section out of an audio file in your browser, right on the waveform. Upload the file, drag the start and end handles to mark the section, and download the result. There is nothing to install.
The tool works two ways: trim to keep only the section you selected, or cut to remove that section and join what is left. Either way, trims or cuts a selected region, adjusts volume, and adds fade in and fade out, then exports the result as a WAV file.
What you get:
- A trimmed or cut audio clip, ready to download as a WAV file
- Volume control and a fade in/fade out toggle on the section you keep
- no watermark on any recording or export
- Free to try: 3 uploads on the free plan, up to 2 GB each
How to Cut an Audio File Online
- Upload the file: Add an MP3, WAV, or other audio file. Accepted formats are MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG and FLAC, up to 2 GB on the free plan.
- Mark the section: Drag the start and end handles on the waveform, or switch to cut mode to remove that section instead of keeping it. Turn on fade in or fade out if the cut needs a smoother start or end.
- Download the result: The tool renders your selection with the volume and fade settings applied and gives you a WAV file to save.
An uploaded MP3 comes back as a WAV file: the cutter decodes the audio to work with it, then writes a fresh file rather than re-encoding the original compressed format.
