Free Plan: What You Get
The free plan costs nothing and does not need a credit card. You get one recording of up to 45 minutes, 2 transcriptions, 3 file uploads and 10 AI chats a month.
That is an evaluation allowance, not a working allowance. It is enough to record one thing, transcribe it, summarise it and decide whether the output is good enough for you. It is not enough to run a week of meetings through. The transcription and upload counts are totals, not monthly refills, so once they are gone the only way forward is a paid plan.
Pro Plan: $19/mo billed annually
Pro is the plan most individual users end up on. At $19/mo billed annually ($228 charged once) or $30/mo billed monthly, you get recordings up to 2 hours, 50 transcriptions a month, 500 uploads a month and 50 AI chats a month. The limits reset each month.
Work out your own numbers before you pick a billing period. If you record ten meetings a month and transcribe all of them, you are using a fifth of the monthly transcription allowance and the rest is spare for uploads and chat. If you are transcribing a back catalogue, the upload limit is the one to watch.
The 7-day free trial applies to the annual Pro plan and needs a card to start. Monthly plans do not trial. If you do not cancel inside the 7 days you are billed $228 for the year.
Max Plan: $34/mo billed annually
Max is $34/mo billed annually ($408 charged once) or $69/mo billed monthly. It raises the longest single recording to 3 hours and makes AI chat unlimited.
The recording length is the practical reason to move up. A 2-hour cap is fine for meetings and short lectures and awkward for all-day workshops, long webinars and conference sessions. If you regularly record past two hours, Max is the plan. Current transcription and upload allowances are listed on the pricing page.
Enterprise Plan: from $199/mo
Enterprise starts at $199/mo and is quoted by sales against team size and requirements. ScreenApp holds SOC 2 Type 2 and encrypts recordings with AES-256 at rest. If your procurement process needs a signed agreement, a security review or a named contact, that is the route. Contact ScreenApp’s sales team for a quote.
Who Should Choose Each Plan
Choose Free if you are evaluating ScreenApp. One recording and 2 transcriptions is enough to judge transcript quality and the AI output on your own audio, and nothing more.
Choose Pro if you record regularly, your sessions run under 2 hours, and 50 transcriptions a month covers you.
Choose Max if your recordings run long, up to 3 hours, or you lean on AI chat heavily enough that 50 chats a month runs out.

ScreenApp vs Loom. Loom charges per user, which adds up for teams. Loom only includes AI transcription and summaries on its $20/user/mo Business+AI plan. ScreenApp includes transcription from $19/mo. Loom’s free plan allows unlimited 5-minute recordings, which is more forgiving for quick clips than ScreenApp’s single 45-minute free recording.
ScreenApp vs Descript. Descript is primarily a video and podcast editor with transcription built in. Its free plan gives 1 hour of transcription a month, which is more free transcription than ScreenApp’s 2 files.
