ScreenApp and Salesforce: What Actually Works

There is no ScreenApp Salesforce integration

ScreenApp does not connect to Salesforce. There is nothing to install in Salesforce, nothing to connect under Settings, and ScreenApp does not post, sync or create anything in Salesforce on its own. Anything that ends up in Salesforce gets there because you put it there.

That is worth saying plainly, because the rest of this page is about the part that does work.

What you can actually do

  1. Record the meeting in ScreenApp, or upload a file you already have.
  2. Wait for the transcript and the AI summary.
  3. Copy the text, or export the transcript as PDF, DOCX, TXT, SRT and VTT.
  4. Paste the summary into a task or a note on the contact or the opportunity.
  5. If people need to watch the recording, send them a share link. Share links are not password protected, so only send them to people who should see the recording.

What is not on offer

There is no managed package, no field mapping and no bi-directional sync. ScreenApp does not feed Einstein, does not trigger flows or approval processes, and does not write to custom objects. It also does not support SSO or SAML. For comparison, Otter pushes to Salesforce and HubSpot, and Fireflies to Salesforce, HubSpot, and others.

For developers

ScreenApp has API keys and a public API. You can generate an API key and pull a recording, its transcript and its summary, then write them into Salesforce with Salesforce’s own API. Use the API to retrieve recordings. ScreenApp does not offer webhooks, so your code or automation service checks the API for finished recordings and writes them to the destination; this is not a native integration.

Frequently asked questions

Can a recording be linked to an opportunity automatically?

No. You add the link to the record.

Can I pull transcripts into Salesforce with Apex?

Yes, if you write it. ScreenApp has API keys and a public API you can call from an Apex callout. ScreenApp will not call you.
