ScreenApp and Airtable: What Actually Works

There is no ScreenApp Airtable integration

ScreenApp does not connect to Airtable. There is nothing to install in Airtable, nothing to connect under Settings, and ScreenApp does not post, sync or create anything in Airtable on its own. Anything that ends up in Airtable gets there because you put it there.

That is worth saying plainly, because the rest of this page is about the part that does work.

What you can actually do

  1. Record the meeting in ScreenApp, or upload a file you already have.
  2. Wait for the transcript and the AI summary.
  3. Copy the text, or export the transcript as PDF, DOCX, TXT, SRT and VTT.
  4. Paste it into a long text field on the record. Airtable keeps line breaks in long text, so a TXT export stays readable.
  5. If people need to watch the recording, send them a share link. Share links are not password protected, so only send them to people who should see the recording.

Building a base from the API

If you want a base that fills itself, you have to write the job. Generate an API key in ScreenApp, poll the API for new recordings, pull each transcript and summary, then create the record with Airtable’s own API. ScreenApp does not push records out and cannot create fields in your base.

For developers

ScreenApp has API keys and a public API. You can generate an API key and pull a recording, its transcript and its summary, then write them into Airtable with Airtable’s own API. Use the API to retrieve recordings. ScreenApp does not offer webhooks, so your code or automation service checks the API for finished recordings and writes them to the destination; this is not a native integration.

Frequently asked questions

Does every recording become a record automatically?

No. Nothing is created in Airtable unless you create it, by hand or with your own script.

Can Airtable automations react to a new recording?

Yes, through an automation you build. Poll the ScreenApp API on a schedule, retrieve the transcript of each finished recording, and create or update an Airtable record. This is not a native Airtable sync.
