Get a Transcript from a Twitter Space or X Video
Paste a public Twitter Space or X video link into the importer above and ScreenApp pulls in the audio or video automatically, one of YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and most other public video links (Twitch, Loom, Dropbox, Google Drive, Pinterest, X, Threads, Douyin, Kuaishou, Bilibili) through a generic importer it can read a link from. A private account, a members-only post, or a login-gated Space will not import: save the audio or video to your device instead and upload it here. Either way you get a transcript with speaker labels and timestamps back in minutes.
That covers the Space you want as searchable text instead of a two-hour recording, the panel discussion you want to quote from, and the video reply you want notes on without rewatching it.
What you get:
- A transcript with speaker labels and timestamps, in 100+ languages
- Export as PDF, DOCX, TXT, SRT and VTT
- Ask AI questions about the recording and get answers that point to the moment it happened
- Free plan: 2 transcriptions of recordings up to 45 minutes each, with AI chat on it
How to Get a Twitter Transcript
- Paste the link. Copy the URL of a public Space or X video and paste it into the importer above. ScreenApp pulls in the audio or video and starts processing.
- Or get the file onto your device first. A private account or a login-gated Space will not import from a link. If you can catch a Space live instead, ScreenApp’s Chrome extension that records tab, screen, mic and camera or the Twitter Live Recorder can capture the audio while it plays; otherwise upload the MP3 or MP4 you already saved.
- Read, search, and export the transcript. It appears with speaker labels and timestamps a few minutes later. Search it, edit it in the browser, or export it.
Accuracy depends on the audio. A Space with people taking turns to speak transcribes best; a crowded Space with several hosts talking over each other, or a video with music under the dialogue, will have more gaps. See how we measure accuracy.
When a Twitter Link Will Not Import
ScreenApp has no native X or Twitter integration; it reads a pasted link the same way it reads YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and most other public video links (Twitch, Loom, Dropbox, Google Drive, Pinterest, X, Threads, Douyin, Kuaishou, Bilibili) through a generic importer. That covers a public Space or a public video attached to a tweet. It does not cover a private account, a members-only post, or a Space that requires logging in to replay, because the importer cannot get past a login wall.
For those, getting the file off X first is a separate step, whether that means a third-party Space downloader, an export from the host, or a live recording caught while the Space plays. Once that file exists, upload it and the transcription works the same way as any other recording.

- vs Flowjin: Flowjin’s Twitter Space Summarizer is $99 as a one-time purchase, covering unlimited summaries, MP3 downloads, transcription and tweet generation from that one tool. ScreenApp also imports a public Space link, is $19 a month annual, with the same free plan and export options across any upload, not just X content.
- vs XspaceGPT: XspaceGPT has no free plan. Its Plus tier is $9.90 a month for 10 Spaces, and Pro is $14.90 a month for up to 60 Spaces. ScreenApp imports a public Space link the same way, and its free plan gives 2 transcriptions of recordings up to 45 minutes each before any payment.
- vs Otter.ai: Otter’s AI meeting agent joins Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet, not X or Twitter, so a Space still has to be downloaded and uploaded, the same two-step ScreenApp uses. Otter’s free plan is 300 minutes a month; its paid plan starts at $8.33 a month annual.
Who Uses a Twitter Transcript AI Notetaker
Podcasters and Space hosts turn a recorded Space into a written recap they can post alongside the audio, and pull quotes for show notes without scrubbing back through the recording.
Journalists and researchers transcribe a newsworthy Space or a video reply so they can quote it accurately and search it for a specific claim later.
Social media managers turn a client’s Space into a transcript their team can mine for captions and follow-up posts across other platforms.
Marketers transcribe a competitor’s X video ad or Space appearance to study what was said and pull lines for a brief.
Community managers keep a searchable record of recurring AMAs and town halls held as Spaces, so members who missed one can read what happened.
Students and researchers transcribe an educational Space or interview for a study note or citation, with a timestamp back to the original.
