Get a Transcript, Then Trim the Silence Yourself
ScreenApp does not detect or remove silence automatically. There is no button that scans a recording and cuts dead air on its own. What ScreenApp does is turn a recording into a transcript with AI notes, and give you a waveform you can trim by hand: mark the section you want gone, and cut it.

How to Trim Silence from a Recording
- Upload or record: Add an audio or video file, or record in the browser. There is nothing to configure first, no threshold or sensitivity setting, because nothing is detected automatically.
- Read the transcript and notes: The transcript, with speaker labels and timestamps, and the AI notes are ready a few minutes later. Use the transcript to find where the pauses or dead air are.
- Trim what you don’t want: Open the audio cutter, drag the waveform to mark the start and end of the section, and cut it. Add fade in or fade out if the cut needs a smoother edge.
