Supported file types

Video and audio uploads

The current media picker recognises these extensions:

Video: MP4, M4V, MOV, AVI, WEBM, MKV, FLV, TS, MTS, M2TS, 3GP, 3GPP, 3G2, WMV, ASF, VOB, OGV, RM, RMVB, MPG, MPEG, M2V, F4V, MXF

Audio: MP3, M4A, MP4A, M4B, AAC, WAV, OGG, OPUS, FLAC, AIFF, WMA, WEBMA, MKA, AC3, EAC3, WV, AMR, DSF, DFF

An accepted extension is not a guarantee that every file can be decoded. The codec, encoding, file integrity and access restrictions also matter. Renaming an extension does not convert a file.

Documents

Use the document input available in the app for supported document files. A document is read as text or pages, not transcribed as spoken audio. Check the picker and any validation message for the specific input you are using.

Output formats are separate

• Transcript exports: TXT, DOCX, PDF, VTT and SRT.
• Generated document exports: Markdown, TXT, PDF, DOCX and PPTX.
• Recording downloads use the available media file; the input extension does not guarantee a chosen output format.
