Understand playback conversion and check the actual downloadable file.

Upload and check playback

  1. Upload the WebM file.
  2. Wait for processing to finish.
  3. Open the result and test playback.

ScreenApp can create a streamable playback copy during video processing. A playback copy and the original recording are different files; do not assume the download action always returns the playback format.

If you need MP4 specifically

Check the file type available from the recording’s download action. If an MP4 output is available, download it and verify that it opens in the application where you intend to use it.

If only the source file is available, the recording download has not performed an MP4 export for you. Contact support about the available output, or convert a downloaded copy with a converter you trust.

Conversion time and output quality depend on the source and processing settings. Keep the original when quality matters. See download help for account access and file-saving errors.
