Check the source
Open the recording, locate the incorrect passage and play it. Establish what was actually said before editing. If speech is unclear, retain that uncertainty rather than inventing wording.
Correct the transcript
Use the transcript editing control available on the recording and save the change. Check the passage again and export a fresh copy if you previously downloaded the transcript. Existing downloaded files will not update themselves.
For a wrong speaker name, use speaker-label editing rather than replacing the spoken text.
Improve a new transcription
Check the spoken-language setting before re-transcribing. The current app’s Account settings include custom vocabulary for names and specialised terms. Vocabulary helps guide future processing; it does not prove that every use of a word will be recognised correctly.
A new summary or translated document may need to be generated after transcript corrections. Review that result separately. See Accuracy and Methodology.
