How to Convert a File to MP3
- Upload the file: drop an audio or video file on the tool above, or pick one from your computer or phone. Sign in with a free account to save it.
- Let it process: ScreenApp stores the file and transcribes the audio. Both are in your library when processing finishes.
- Download the MP3: open the file and press Download Audio. Downloads are available on paid plans, starting at $19 a month billed annually.
MP3 is a lossy format, so converting a WAV or FLAC file makes it much smaller and drops detail you mostly will not hear on speech or casual listening. Converting an MP3 that was already compressed does not bring that detail back. This tool has no bitrate or sample rate setting. If you need to pick those yourself, a converter with advanced settings fits the job better. Transcript quality depends on the recording, so see how we measure accuracy.
