How to Ask AI About a Google Meet Recording
- Record the call: Connect Google Calendar and Microsoft Calendar and let the meeting bot join your Google Meet call, or open the Chrome extension that records tab, screen, mic and camera before the call starts if you would rather record without a bot in the meeting. You can also upload a recording you already have.
- Wait for the transcript: The transcript, with speaker labels, and the AI notes are ready a few minutes after the call ends.

Can ChatGPT answer questions about my Google Meet recording?
No. ChatGPT takes text and image input, not uploaded video or audio files, so it cannot process a Google Meet recording directly. You need a tool that transcribes the recording first; you can then paste that transcript into ChatGPT if you want to.
Are my Google Meet recordings private?
Yes. Recordings are encrypted in transit and at rest with AES-256, are not used to train AI models, and are only shared if you create a share link. Security controls, including SOC 2 Type 2, are published on the trust center.
