Technical Lead, ScreenApp

Spent years inside live video infrastructure before bringing it to ScreenApp’s AI features.

About Wickramaranga

Wicky spent more than four years at Meetrix on the unglamorous, load-bearing parts of live video: Jitsi customizations, real-time infrastructure, and the LLM and prompt-engineering work layered on top. If you've ever wondered what actually holds a video meeting together, that was his day job.

Earlier he wrote fintech backends at GTN in C++ and Oracle, and trained at 99X and Siplo. He studied Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Moratuwa. He works mostly in TypeScript, React, and Node, with a steady pull toward applied AI.

At ScreenApp he's a technical lead on AI features. He reviews content here for technical accuracy across recording, transcription, and video workflows, which are, more or less, the things he's spent his whole career building.
