Prepare text that sounds natural aloud
Paste a short passage with complete sentences. Spell out an acronym the first time it appears, and write numbers in the form you want spoken. A paragraph written for a slide or a table often needs to be rewritten before a listener can follow it.
Generate the preview
- Paste up to 5,000 characters in the text-to-speech tool.
- Generate the audio and listen from the beginning.
- Check names, abbreviations, punctuation and pauses.
- Continue in the app to save the generated audio. Downloads from the app require a paid plan.
Start with a short announcement or explanatory paragraph. Fix the text and regenerate if an abbreviation or unusual name is mispronounced.
Can I select a voice or change its pitch?
The widget has one built-in voice. It does not have a voice picker, pitch control or separate dialogue voices. If a specific accent or character voice is required, choose a narration workflow with those controls.
Why is the preview shorter than my text?
Longer input produces a short introduction rather than a complete reading in the preview. Listen alongside the input and check which passages were included. Do not treat the preview as a complete spoken version of a long document.
What should I check before using the audio?
Listen to the whole result, check that the meaning is intact, and review any figures or instructions that a listener will act on. Keep the original text so you can correct the narration later.
