A doc’s share page is a web page like any other, so how cleanly it reads depends on how the doc is shared. A link published with File, Share, Publish to web extracts as plain text and narrates well. A link shared as “Anyone with the link can view” opens Google’s document viewer, which is heavier and can extract less cleanly. Longer articles are summarized into a shorter script before the AI reads them aloud, rather than narrated word for word.

How to Convert a Google Doc to Audio
