Recording and Transcription

Find and download a transcript

Open the transcript, seek to a word and export the text.

  1. Open the recording in ScreenApp.
  2. Open its transcript view and wait for processing if it is not ready.
  3. Scroll or search the transcript to find the passage you need.
  4. Select a timestamped word or passage to check it against playback.

Download the text

Use the transcript download action in the recording menu. Choose from TXT, DOCX, PDF, VTT and SRT. Use a subtitle format when you need timing cues for a video editor.

Transcript exports are available on every plan, including Free. Downloading the recording file itself needs a paid plan; see download access.

No transcript appears

Check whether upload or transcription is still processing and whether a limit or error is shown. Documents are read as documents and do not have a spoken-audio transcript. See transcription troubleshooting.

Correct important errors before using the text as a record of a conversation.
