Listen to a short narration from a DOCX and review how its text was extracted.

Prepare the Word document

A document written to be read silently may sound awkward aloud. Expand abbreviations, turn important table values into sentences and remove navigation text that interrupts the reading. Keep a clean copy of the DOCX so you can compare the output with the intended text.

Generate and review a preview

  1. Upload the DOCX using the document audio tool.
  2. Listen to the short preview alongside the document.
  3. Check headings, lists, names and numeric values.
  4. Continue in the app to save the audio. App downloads require a paid plan.

A short internal briefing or lesson introduction is a practical starting point. For a document with tracked changes, decide which version of the text you want spoken before preparing the upload.

Are comments, images and formatting narrated?

Do not assume document extraction includes comments, text boxes or image descriptions. It can omit content or change its reading order. Layout and formatting are not a substitute for an explicit spoken explanation, especially when a listener needs to understand a table.

Does the preview read the entire document?

Long extracted text may be summarized, and the preview uses one narrator. Compare the audio with the source rather than treating it as a verbatim recording. For a complete spoken version, divide the intended narration into manageable sections and verify each section before sharing.

I have tried at least 6 different ways to transcribe meetings and get summaries: Notion with AI, HiNotes with HiDock as hardware, Plaud with different hardware, Teams agents. Every tool did a part of the job, but not one of them delivered on all my requirements. ScreenApp goes far beyond my expectations. It has the video ready if I need to re-watch a meeting.
