How recording and cloud processing work

Understand local recording buffers, upload and cloud transcription.

During recording

The recorder captures media on your device and uploads recording data. The current browser recorder also keeps pending chunks in local browser storage so interrupted uploads can be recovered.

A pending local copy is not the same as a completed cloud recording. Keep the app and browser profile available until saving is complete.

After upload

The library contains uploaded recordings. Transcription and AI processing run in the cloud and need a connection. Processing can continue after upload has completed even if you leave the recording page.

ScreenApp does not sell customer data or use customer content to train AI models. Vetted subprocessors process data as required to provide the service.

If your connection drops

Restore the connection and allow saving to continue. If the app closed, reopen the same installation or browser profile and follow recording recovery.

Clearing site data can erase pending chunks. It does not delete the cloud library. Use delete recordings for cloud files and check usage for the account’s limits.
