Browser capture
Start the recording from ScreenApp and respond to the browser’s permission prompts.
- Microphone permission allows the selected microphone to be captured.
- Camera permission is needed when recording a camera.
- Screen, window or tab selection is made in the browser’s sharing chooser.
Choose only the sources needed for the recording. Audio sharing can be a separate option in the chooser.
A permission was blocked
Open the browser’s site controls for ScreenApp and review microphone or camera permissions. On systems that require operating-system permission for screen capture or microphone access, check those controls too.
If a restart or reload is required, first stop and save any active recording. Check recovery guidance before clearing data.
Native apps and extensions
Their permission prompts can differ from the browser app. Grant the permission requested for the selected capture mode. Mobile audio recording needs microphone access; it does not provide mobile screen recording.
