Understanding the 12-Hour Limit
ScreenApp transcribes recordings up to 12 hours long. Recordings longer than that need to be split before you upload them.
Strategies for Handling Long Transcripts
- Break Down Recordings: Divide your long recordings into smaller, more manageable segments. On the Pro plan your maximum recording length is 2 hours per session, and on the Max plan it is 3 hours per session. This can help ensure accurate transcriptions and avoid exceeding the 12-hour limit.
- Prioritize Transcription: Focus on transcribing the most important sections of your recordings first. If time is limited, prioritize the parts that are most relevant to your needs.
- Utilize External Transcription Services: For extremely long recordings or specialized transcription requirements, consider using a third-party transcription service that may have higher limits or offer additional features.
- Optimize Audio Quality: Ensure your audio recordings are clear and free from background noise. High-quality audio can improve transcription accuracy and reduce the likelihood of errors.
- Review and Edit: Manually review and edit the transcribed text to ensure accuracy and make any necessary corrections.
