Choose the right task
- To transcribe speech, set the spoken language.
- To translate a transcript, use the recording’s transcript translation action.
- To change the language of AI replies or notes, set Output Language or state the language in your request.
- To create translated speech, use dubbing.

Check the source first
Read the original transcript and compare unclear passages with playback. A translation can repeat errors in the source. Correct names, technical terms and speaker attribution before generating another result.
Downloaded text uses a different language
Transcript downloads use the recording's saved transcript and speaker labels; selecting a displayed translation does not change the exported language. Check the downloaded text rather than assuming that the language visible in the player is the export language.
The result is in the wrong language
Check the target selected for that operation and any language explicitly named in the prompt. Generate a new result after correcting it; changing a preference does not rewrite an existing document.
