ScreenApp and Zapier: What Actually Works

There is no ScreenApp Zapier integration

ScreenApp does not connect to Zapier. There is nothing to install in Zapier, nothing to connect under Settings, and ScreenApp does not post, sync or create anything in Zapier on its own. Anything that ends up in Zapier gets there because you put it there.

That is worth saying plainly, because the rest of this page is about the part that does work.

What you can actually do

  1. Record the meeting in ScreenApp, or upload a file you already have.
  2. Wait for the transcript and the AI summary.
  3. Copy the text, or export the transcript as PDF, DOCX, TXT, SRT and VTT.
  4. Move the text across by hand, or write a script that pulls it from the ScreenApp API on a schedule.
  5. If people need to watch the recording, send them a share link. Share links are not password protected, so only send them to people who should see the recording.

Custom automation requires setup

A Zap needs a trigger, and ScreenApp does not send webhooks, so there is no recording event for a Zap to listen to. A scheduled Zap that calls the ScreenApp API is possible, but it needs your own setup and validation. There is also no ScreenApp app in the Zapier directory, so there are no ready-made actions to pick from either.

For developers

ScreenApp has API keys and a public API. You can generate an API key and pull a recording, its transcript and its summary, then send them wherever you need with that tool’s own API. Use the API to retrieve recordings. ScreenApp does not offer webhooks, so your code or automation service checks the API for finished recordings and writes them to the destination; this is not a native integration.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Webhooks by Zapier with ScreenApp?

Not as a trigger. ScreenApp does not send webhooks, so Webhooks by Zapier has nothing to catch. A scheduled Zap can call the ScreenApp API instead; there is no native ScreenApp app with ready-made triggers.

What is the closest thing that works?

A scheduled script. Generate an API key in ScreenApp, poll the API for new recordings and transcripts, and send what you need to the other tool.
