Download a Screen Recording or Video

In this support article, we'll guide you through the process of creating and downloading a screen recording using ScreenApp. This software provides a straightforward process for capturing and saving video content, including audio and webcam input. First, we'll cover how to login or signup for a ScreenApp account.

Logging Into ScreenApp

To start a new screen recording, you first need a ScreenApp account:

1. Visit the ScreenApp website using your preferred web browser.
2. Click on 'Login' if you already have an account or 'Start Free' to create a new one.
3. Fill in your details as required and accept the terms and conditions.
4. Once you've logged in or signed up, you're ready to begin recording.

Creating a New Screen Recording

Here are the steps to create a new screen recording:

1. Click on 'New Recording' in the top right-hand corner of the ScreenApp interface.
2. Select the type of recording you want to create - 'Screen only', 'Screen Plus Webcam', or 'Webcam only'.
3. Choose your audio source: 'System audio', 'Microphone audio', 'Browser audio', or 'No audio'.
4. Select your preferred microphone from the dropdown list.
5. Choose whether to 'Start recording automatically' or not.
6. Add a title or description to your recording if desired (this step can be skipped).
7. Decide whether to record a specific 'Tab', a 'Window', or the 'Entire Screen'.
8. If 'Start recording automatically' was not selected, click on 'Start Recording'.

While recording, you can monitor the recording duration and audio levels, pause the recording, or mute your microphone or system audio as needed.

Stopping and Uploading Your Recording

When you've captured the content you need:

1. Click 'Stop' to end the recording.
2. The recording will automatically upload to the ScreenApp servers for safekeeping.
3. You'll be redirected to the video page for your recording.

Downloading Your Screen Recording

Finally, here's how to download your screen recording:

1. Click on 'Download' on the video page.
2. Choose your preferred file format - 'MP4' or 'MKV'.
3. In this example, we'll select 'MP4'.
4. The file will download to your default downloads folder.
